I'd love for him to sign an extension simply to increase the transfer value, especially if he's 100% sure on going to Madrid. Hell even NASRI did that for Marseille before he went to Arsenal. Besides Banco will fund any of Madrid's transfers, United should just stick a 75m price.

At the price they're offering its more beneficial to have him for another year and let him move for free. Hell after seeing fat spanish waiter in charge for a year may convince him otherwise

couldnt agree more
you dont need the money, wait for good offer or keep him

He's childhood Madrid fan and he was promised he would be allowed to leave after signing new contract to maximise the amount of money we'd get.

That's why El Dave is pissing me off, he stood by him when he was struggling and made him what he's today, now he wants to leave at the first opportunity, doesn't care what the club did for him and he won't openly ask for transfer in order to keep his loyalty bonus.

lol.

De gea was a proven keeper when landing in england.

You destroyed him for a yaer or two then he came back to class throughout his determination.

Clueless polski.

That's the least thing he could do, he was with us for longer than De Gea for example and he had very rough periods at he club (rape case etc)

sea De Gea should stay another season IMO, to show gratitude to the fans but in this day and age that doesn't happen very often

different situation, he was peaking and heading towards that time in career when he could not achieve things.

The rvp move is understandable.

This is actually a bit different as Robin was desperate to win trophies and Arsenal were selling their best players every summer, doubt he'd want to leave now as Arsenal are doing much better and he at least said openly well in advance he won't be signing a new contract.

well, you could argue that de gea wants to win the champions league and thinks he has a much better chance doing so at real...

Madrid say no deal on Ramos at any price.

Very well then, enjoy Grandpa Iker for another season. United should easily slap an absurd pricetag on De Gea now. 75m-80m should do.

I don't really pay attention to transfer rumours, but since I've read/heard it from different media sources it might be legit:

Apparently Madrid will sign Leno for his 18M€ release clause if Man Utd asks for too much money, and then they'd get De Gea for free the following season if they decide to drop this year's secnd keeper (Iker/Keylor).

It might just be a tactic to lower De Gea's price this year, but I really wouldn't mind signing Leno tbh.

Leno is good. So their plan would be to use him for 1 year then bench him?
