dude... he had a good game today, there's no denying that. but he was under no pressure whatsoever by an offensively non existant northern irish team. no one to expose his weaknesses (lack of speed, overconfident / risky passing), he had no defensive tasks at all today. i'm certain those ukrainian or polish wingers would have exposed him massively. again, not saying he did bad or anything but i personally can't see him shine on any position in a back four against high level competition. imo he's a defensive mid...

after this game i have some hope that he could fill that hole lahm left behind
his speed is alright and he has the right level of confidence

I genuinely believe the irish teams should automatically qualify for every international tournament, their fans deserve it.

Some of the stories coming out about them are nothing short of spectacular, no idea why we all can't be like them.
