England captain, the first name on the team sheet regardless whether you like it or not.

Hart
Clyne - Bad CB - Worse CB - Random LB
Henderson - Dier
Sturridge - Alli - Rooney
Kane

With Vardy, Barkley, Drinkwater, Lallana as subs for midfield or Kane, England will do fine offensively and also when pressuring (a fit Rooney can still do that) as deep in the opponent's half as today. That defense is kind of weak though.

Former United washout, a less talented Anderson with a cool name.

LOL
If Cahill plays his best, then he is amazing. Last match I saw liverpool play clyne was their worst player.
Also love how you say "random" lb. How is Bertrand a random? Champjons league winner at lm, in which he destroyed bayern.

England has a well good enough defense.

I like that team, but honestly Henderson has been so bad this season (coming from a Liverpool fan) and he was bad today. Drinkwater, Noble or Carrick should be in there.

Rose also played well today, I must say I doubted him but I wouldn't mind him starting as LB ahead of Bertrand from now on. CBs will be Smalling + CB, probably Cahill but he's so fucking bad lol. Can't believe he was captain today... I'd like Shawcross or even Jagielka to play alongside Smalling. Stones is too young and has been bad for Everton since December.

I'm actually leaning towards Carrick replacing Henderson because he can retain possession well, which is our main issue as a team in my opinion. Germany dominated possession for most of the game. At the world cup Italy dominated possession vs us too, and we ran out of energy in the 2nd half. We need to be able to pass as well as press vs the big teams.

For Germany, Can can't be played at RB. Play him as a central midfielder or don't play him at all (or maybe in a back 3). He is a pretty good player but he lacks the speed of a full back. You've got so many good midfielders I don't think he is good enough to make your team, probably not even the bench...

Yeah.. would be really a great argument if that wasn't true for basically every other palyer in the world as well. When was the last time Cahill actually played his best for England? Hope you don't mean today, as he wasn't even able to keep Germany's single (and mostly left alone by midfield) striker Gomez under control and let him score twice...

Today he helped to keep Reus (currently one of the most dangerous and most successful offensive players in Europe) and later Podolski invisible and also assisted Vardy after making a decent run.
Also, I think you cannot simply compare players' performances in their respective league teams to what they do in their national team. Different coaches will almost always favor different strategies and have different tasks for players.

Did Bertrand play today? Are you sure he will play at EURO? Would he play his CL winning position in LM? Is he still under contract at Chelsea? Is there a good reason he isn't still there, even at a time when Chelsea's defense is ridiculously weak?

If yes, good for you / your point.
If not... well... just stfu.

A Euro/national tournament is different. If he steps up to his best he will be great, and he will/should 100% be the starter and captain. fk Rooney
