Sterling and Sturridge can only get better. A decent physical striker like Huntelaar and complete overhaul of the back four and I could potentially see top 4, I think Liverpool still has allure to players.

Agree with Sterling and Sturridge part. Problem with Huntelaar is that he is gonna be 31 when the next season starts, don't want to blow money on him personally. Our defense is a little thin, but the problem is more tactical. I think Sakho, Skrtel and Agger are good enough defenders.

Age won't matter that much with Huntelaar, he never had it because of his speed, he's just a natural finisher.
He could be great for Liverpool, ofc won't replace Suarez, but would be a decent buy

Positioning and finishing don't age, Huntelaar will remain a good striker for a few more years.

Isn't Mandzkic also an option? It's all rumours and stuff but I've read that Guardiola doesn't rate him much and is considering selling him for a decent offer.

You're both right about Huntelaar, I was more talking about his sell on value than capabilities. His goal scoring record is very good and has got experience. But he isn't a like for like replacement for Suarez. Anything short of Sanchez will be very bad for us
