Not in the last couple of years, not right now! Overall since 1992 yes, not since 2000! You seem to disregard the fact that the positions can and do change!

When u will acknowledge what u've just said here, u'll probably understand where ur logics has failed u.

Are u cerial? Do u expect a manager to say publicly, that he doesn't really give a damn about the loss? And for the line-ups proving it, I already told u how Spurs were concerned about EL, when they played their youths in a decisive group game, cuz they had an important fixture at the weekend. Ur effort to try to convince someone, that the likes of City and Utd were worried about EL just shows how little u know about it in general. The title race at that point was at it's peak, and neither of them would trade valuable points in the league to a victory in cup of much lesser importance. They're European season effectively was over, when they fucked up in CL. Claiming that EL is important to teams of that caliber is the same as trying to prove, that Liverpool after winning Carling and FA ( assuming they will) had a better season than a team with top-4 finish.
It almost as ridiculous as claiming that Real Madrid or Barca are shit, cuz they get koed from Copa del Rey. If u follow football a bit more, than just playing FIFA on ur console, u should  realize by now, that different teams have different goals for the season, and a top team will never focus their full attention to a consolation prize ( EL in City's or Utd's case) if their primary target hasn't been achieved yet.

It was so predictable that you would write an essay on a point I don't even agree on (hence the "even if"), dodging the major fact that PL teams DID send their best players (one Spurs game doesn't change that, just look at United's and City's EL lineups - there's no way you field guys like Rooney, Evra, Young, Silva, Agüero, Kompany if you don't care!) and failed and that La Liga still won more Champions League titles.
I agree that EL is (obviously) lower than CL but it's still an international title and not at all comparable to Carling Cup, your hate makes you completely ignorant!

Obvious dodge is obvious, fanboy! :rolleyes:

Elaborate - what do you regard as my logic and where does it fail me? I never said la Liga was always #1 in Europe, if that's what you're implying.

well, u clearly established in ur first post what u base ur assumptions on.
I can quote if u don't remember:

Let's take a look at facts and not at stupid assumptions and lame ass excuses like "sure we got buttraped but they wouldn't be able to buttrape even worse teams each weak".
To be fair I'll compare their performance since 1992/1993 (when Premier League as it exists today and the Champions League were established):

European Titles:

Premier League: 3 CL titles, 1 EL title (2 teams overall)
Primera Division: 6 CL titles, 4 EL titles (5 teams overall)

League Champions:

Premier League: 4 (12x United, 3x Arsenal, 3x Chelsea, 1x Blackburn)
Primera Division: 5 (9x Barca, 6x Real, 2x Valencia, 1x Depor, 1x Atletico)

Transfer balance last 10 years (in Mio. €):

Premier League: - 215, - 353, - 69, - 323, - 456, - 299, - 266, - 321, -250, - 204 --> 2,756
Primera Division: - 61, - 8, - 258, - 15, - 271, - 255, -32, - 138, - 19, - 94 --> 1,151

Foreigners playing in the league:

Premier League: >  63 %
Primera Division: < 38 %

Now hate all you want. The facts won't change!

According to ur chosen method, it's obvious that Seria A should be better than EPL or La Liga. Cuz, as u said "to be fair" 11 is more than 10 and almost 3 times as much as 4. So how it works out then? Why Italians only got 3 spots in CL and EPL is still no1 in ur chosen UEFA ranking?

Ok, then let's stick to the UEFA ranking (5 years):

Premier League: 1 CL title, 0 EL titles
La Liga: 2 CL titles, 2 EL titles

And I can quote myself too again: Overall from 1992 Serie A performed best. But not in the last couple of years - that's why they got less CL spots (UEFA ranking)!
No matter how you look at it, no matter how many years you chose - La Liga will still be > Premier League!

Oh and nice dodging of the EL part! ;)

So u agree, that ur "fair" assesement that u chose in the beggining makes no sense ( Serie A proves it), so now u wanna stick Uefa rankings. Ok fair enough, can u explain me then the reason why EPL officialy is still the highest ranked league then? And then u maybe u could elaborate on how did they get that high?

Why does it "make no sense"? I'm comparing the 2 Leagues listed it makes 100% sense because La Liga > PL. Does it even include Serie A? No! So what's your point? Mine was that considering 1992-2012 La Liga > Premier League. A point you did not manage to disprove!
What you are saying is like saying a horse isn't bigger than a sheep just because an elephant is even bigger. You're the only one making no sense!

And the reason for England being higher ranked in UEFA ranking is obviously because it rewards runner ups, semi- and quarterfinalists especially from CL heavily. I didn't know you weren't aware of this. But I still think titles are more important - emphasis my friend! Also I already acknowledged that long ago:

La Liga will win the Cups, take over the #1 spot in UEFA rankings again and build up a new generation of excellent Spanish youth players while Premier League can gloat about the number of CL quarter and semi finalists, buy foreign stars for foreign oil money and cripple England's slim chances of winning anything in the near future in the process.

So next year you will finally agree that La Liga > Premier League because UEFA ranking says it too? ;)
