Today's Gossip:

- Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has a transfer shortlist including Bolton defender Gary Cahill, Everton left-back Leighton Baines and Aston Villa wingers Stewart Downing and Ashley Young after being told he has a £50m budget for next season.

- Dalglish is planning "up to 22 deals" in and out of the club this summer as he looks to revamp his squad. Rennes winger Sylvain Marveaux is expected to be the first of many young arrivals, identified as talent that can be developed, when the transfer window reopens in June.

- Bayern Munich will join Liverpool in attempting to prise full-back Jose Enrique away from Newcastle in the close-season.

Some interesting rumours.

Enrique has done really well at Newcastle and could help our left back position.

As for our wings, I've been an admirer of Ashley Young for a while and would be a good investment. Baines is a great player too however unlikely that Everton would sell to us.

Downing is a decent player but not our standard and don't know anything really about Marveaux
