are there toughts of relegation going around?
After today's match, yes.
We were all aware that the relegation zone was kind of close, but it wasn't worth worrying about because the team below us are much weaker... but looking how the team has been getting worse and worse, and after losing against the worst away team in the league and being now just 3 points above relegation, everyone is worried now.
The result has caused a shitstorm in several fan forums.
The guys that run the club don't care about what happens.
The manager sees to be unable to isolate the team from what's happening in the board.
Half of the team's players finish contract this summer so it's only up to their commitment as professionals to care about what division Mallorca will play in next year.
All of the clubs in the lower end of the league are stepping up, while we are getting worse and worse.
We have the highest budget, and we are one of the biggest clubs, in Segunda. The pressure on the team is huge, while most of the other teams down there don't have the same pressure because they are used to relegating to the third level.
Honestly, it doesn't look good. Everyone was hoping that, given the quality of our players, Mallorca would eventually wake up and stomp everyone and promote without too many problems... but the team hasn't awoken yet and there's no reason to believe they are going to awaken now.
