Realistically, what we need is a "proper" striker. Mayoral is not Real Madrid level, let's be honest and Benzema knows that, hence why he is not really worried that he won't play, because there is no pressure on him.
I don't want to say that the players have lost faith in Zidane, but something is not clicking at the moment. Sure, we knew we couldn't win every single game and eventually there would have to be some sort of crisis, but this has gone on way too long.
We don't score many goals while conceding lots of goals. I'm happy that we signed (will sign) Kepa, I'm sure he will take over in 1-2 years when Navas' form is declining, so at least the goalkeeper post has been dealt with.
But what we need is a goal-hungry striker, one that is a predator within the box.. right now all Benzema does is pass it out wide, he gets into the box and waits for a ball. He doesn't move much and when he tries to go on a solo run, he fails.
