Mallorca will be playing home against Deportivo tomorrow. Depor is on top of the table in Segunda and, considering Mallorca's form, I don't have my hopes high at all...

Mallorca 0 - 3 Deportivo

This pretty much kills any chance we had of promoting. It was a balanced game until we conceded a stupid pk at the end of the first half. Depor scored and then had a very easy second half, with Mallorca unable to react.

The team is completely depressed and distracted by the constant problems in the board.

Now we are going to have to simply focus on avoiding relegation and hope we can change things during the summer (although for that we need a new board, or at least make one of the owners have over 50% of the shares).

They have money, the problem is that the board is stopping anything from happening.

For example, we have a defender called Ximo; the sports director (who was put in charge by Lorenzo Serra Ferrer, the owner of 49% of the shares) has reached an agreement with the player to extend his contract, but the board doesn't approve it (the other 2 owners that own the remaining 51% of the club, always vote against what Serra wants). And it's the same whenever one of the other 2 owners suggests something, the other 2 owners vote against it. So the club is frozen atm, and that's a huge problem. It's impossible to sign or sell players, change manager or extend contracts.
