Stopped keeping track of it when UEFA made it so that the top 4 leagues got 4 CL spots... totally killed the excitement of the race between England/Italy/Germany.

The way things are now, the EPL has taken the 2nd place back, allthough the lead over Bundesliga and Serie A is still slim.

If we look at this season alone (the rankings are calculated on a 5 season basis), EPL has had the best start, as they are currently in the lead with a small 0.785 point advantage over La Liga (who have had the 2nd best performances this season so far). Italy is very close too, as they are only 0.020 points behind Spain.

so if liverpool wins their group chances are pretty high for barca-chelsea the way i see it
