The funniest part is that they think that they are the biggest rivals of the Germans, this is completely false, the biggest rivalry in Europe at least will for ever be when Germany and Oranje face each other.

Pretty much this. There are incidents though where stuff has happened as there are racist people in EVERY country. This doesn't mean we are about to start an apartheid and wipe out all black people or middle easterns, or even just put them all in a ghetto. If people here live in a 'predominantly black area' or something of the sort, then they have chosen to do so.

I can't recall anybody in this forum referring to the war, but yes, the media does play a large role in keeping the post war hatred about. It doesn't mean that all Englishmen follow it. A lot of the rivalry that we claim is generally to do with having pretty much evenly matched teams across the years, and being matched up in major tournaments in crucial games.

All in all, I think that most of the people that are spouting this shit are just discriminating based on a stereotype that they themselves have been brought up around. Not all people do all these things you say, and to be honest, it is the silent majority that don't, we just have the spoken minority that ruin it for the rest of us. Then we get to speak to biased arseholes who think we are all one set of peas in a pod!
