And about money: You have no clue. The spanish government has not even agreed to bail them out and they will most likely NOT do it. The only reason something like that isn't up for discussion in England is that their debts are mostly covered by FOREIGN (oil) money, because overall it's much higher!

You are looking for an explanation of a thesis including assumptions you made to make EL look irrelevant while reality showed that even PL teams that were strong enough to qualify for Champions League failed horribly in it!

No matter how you look at it you have no valid arguments. Even if EL was too weak (why don't PL team dominate it then? I thought they are the strongest league except from place one and two - and don't say they don't care - because their managers will tell you the opposite and their lineups too!) La Liga would still be > Premier League since they also won more Champions League titles!

Are u cerial? Do u expect a manager to say publicly, that he doesn't really give a damn about the loss? And for the line-ups proving it, I already told u how Spurs were concerned about EL, when they played their youths in a decisive group game, cuz they had an important fixture at the weekend. Ur effort to try to convince someone, that the likes of City and Utd were worried about EL just shows how little u know about it in general. The title race at that point was at it's peak, and neither of them would trade valuable points in the league to a victory in cup of much lesser importance. They're European season effectively was over, when they fucked up in CL. Claiming that EL is important to teams of that caliber is the same as trying to prove, that Liverpool after winning Carling and FA ( assuming they will) had a better season than a team with top-4 finish.
It almost as ridiculous as claiming that Real Madrid or Barca are shit, cuz they get koed from Copa del Rey. If u follow football a bit more, than just playing FIFA on ur console, u should realize by now, that different teams have different goals for the season, and a top team will never focus their full attention to a consolation prize ( EL in City's or Utd's case) if their primary target hasn't been achieved yet.
