Ponferradina has historically been a 4th level club that only in the good years managed to play in the 3rd level... so it's surprising to see them in Segunda (this is their 3rd season in the second level I think). So why are they up here? the main reason is that they've become Arsenal's feeder club, which means that over the last few years they've received nice amounts of money and players that have allowed them to progress. They should manage to avoid relegation without too many problems, but they are still a team that should finish in the bottom half of the table.
So far they are havng a dissapointing season. They are currently in the relegation zone. They are however very strong when playing home (they are the 5th strongest home team this season, it's just the fact that they are the worst away team that is dragging them down), so it won't be easy for Mallorca (well, who am I kidding, no one is easy for Mallorca anymore...). I just hope that we continue playing well but, most importantly, we win for once.
