Wenger has to go even with those great players in the early days he did not win back to back titles, constantly failed in europe and went years without titles, when the only competition back then was United. Wengers saving grace in those early years was the fact he inherited such a strong a squad of players that included the best defence of a generation in Adams and co, a top keeper in Seaman , the genius of bergkamp and players like Wright parlour etc. These players had strong characters a never say die attitude, amazing work rate and they played for the shirt and fans. Slowly as wenger influence took over the whole club and the influences of the past were no longer there including those who learned the previous system like Cole and campbell vieira thats when Arsenal went into decline because they started following wengers vision of football which is being unable to defend and not very good at attack but just having lots of possession, passing the ball sideways the whole game and having a weak mentality like wenger himself.
only way wenger will be forced to leave is arsenal finishing outside the top 4.
Why has he failed to sign a striker when we clearly need it? He is not prepared to spend an extra 10million to get those players.
Wenger inherited the famous back 4. He rarely makes good defending signs especially central defenders. Vermelan, kosciekny and Campbell the only real good ones he's bought in.
