Does anyone on Arsenal know how to take a penalty?

Edit: well at least he made up for it

So, we can draw a few conclusions from this loss.

  • Neither Chambers or Holding is good enough to start (yet hopefully)
  • Alexis shouldn't play alone up front, we knew that from last season. Don't fucking try aerial passes to him when Liverpools CB's are 190cm+
  • Euro's messed us up with 3 of our starters being out because of extended holiday making them non matchfit...
  • Mertesacker and Gabriels injuries is a bigger blow than having to stay with Giroud (which I think will work better in a 4-4-2 upfront with Alexis.)

3-4 isn't that bad, but no titles are won this way

The only conclusion you should be drawing is that you started the season with no centre backs or strikers against Liverpool, when Wenger had months to prepare for it. It's inexcusable.

In his defence (ha!), Gabriel's injury was just at an inconvenient time for them. But completely agree about striker. Literally linked to every one available out there for the last 3 years, hasn't signed a single reliable one.
