I wish he would have stayed one more season, he's still great. It's a shame he's retiring from top level football while he's still at his current level, but I can understand the situation... he's already won it all and the offer he's getting from China is awesome. Not to mention Zidane prefers Varane and that other replacements are doing well (Nacho has been great whenever he has played and Vallejo is developing well in Frankfurt).

I heard something about that RM would recall Vallejo this winter or something? Or perhaps summer now after this?

They can't recall him now since the FIFA transfer bann is still up (and it would be pointless anyway since we have 4 CBs). But if Pepe's departure in june is confirmed, he will surely be brought back then.
