wow, that's a lot of money. definitely not a bad deal for gladbach. and most likely not a bad deal for arsenal either - but i'm not 100% sure yet. sometimes he hides too much, especially when his team isn't performing - sometimes he's just too aggressive, a red card waiting to happen.
he seems to have gotten more mature though. he had a very solid season and finished it strongly - so i can certainly see why the transfer fee is that high...

that being said, another german champions league club losing their captain - bayern are certainly not the only club to blame for our league being so boring in terms of the title race...
