your boys were better, but tbh I thought we were going to get destroyed as usual in Germany, so I'm pretty happy with the result :P

BvB the better team by far.

Zidane lucky as always. From the past 3 games he should have got 0 points.

3 games since Casemiro's injury, 3 games without a win...

Let's at least play Pepe in midfield ffs, we need someone there

And people said Casemiro isn't an integral part of Real's team/system

Honestly though zark, I say this brother to brother, I don't really rate Zidane as Real's manager
I see that he was able to bring the team together last season but he doesn't convince me

I think I will wait until he finishes his first full season before I make a proper judgement, but my original impression of "he's just here to make the players happy and cooperate" hasn't changed much. Del Bosque was exactly like that and won 2 Ligas and 2 CLs in 4 years... the team's playstyle was often undefined and inconsistent, and at times it was a tactical mess... but he managed to get the best out of world class players that could carry the team to titles, so it turned out well.

Zidane knows the club and players very well, and he's a respected personality that the players will listen to... that's probably the most important part in a club like Real Madrid. The big tactical CL games against top teams could very well be an issue, but not an impossible barrier. I mean, the last 3 CLs Madrid won before Zidane took over were under tacticly mediocre managers who's main strength was bringing world class players together (Del Bosque and Ancelotti). So, if Zidane turns out to be like them, Madrid should be fine.

interesting take. they seem fine from my view.
It really is the worst best job in the world tbh. Any other big club has less of a lens on you 25/8

That's fair but I believe Ancelotti's Madrid played better football. To me, he was a manager of a different class. Zidane seems very young as a manager. The games last year against Manchester City was an atrocious display from what you'd usually see from a Real Madrid game. The highlight of his Madrid campaign so far was definitely the Classico win at Camp Nou. Even the CL final, I think Atletico lost that game more than Real won it, but this is the life of finals.

I think if he goes through a string of bad results he won't recover to be honest.
