Fergie's dilemma as Lindegaard is ruled out for four weeks
Anders Lindegaard has been ruled out for up to four weeks with an ankle injury, handing Sir Alex Ferguson a goalkeeping dilemma for Manchester United's clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Ferguson must decide whether to pitch Ben Amos into the biggest game of his career or put his faith in under-fire David De Gea, assuming he is fit.
Amos, 21, kept a clean sheet on his Premier League debut in Tuesday's win over Stoke after Lindegaard turned his ankle in training and De Gea was declared unfit.
De Gea, a £17.8million summer signing from Atletico Madrid, came in for more criticism after last weekend's FA Cup defeat at Liverpool.
It was his first appearance since he was dropped in the wake of United's shock New Year's Eve defeat to Blackburn.
Another option, Tomasz Kuszczak, had extra training at Carrington on Wednesday.
Amos said: 'I've been waiting a long time for an opportunity this season and, thankfully, it has come.
'I feel I'm ready to play at this level. You have to be ready when something like this happens and you are thrown straight in. I like to think I made the most of it.'
Wayne Rooney, Phil Jones and Nani are all expected to be in the squad at Chelsea.
