I'm looking to get into the sport more and FIFA looks like a fun way to learn all the players and clubs. I have a gaming PC and a PS4 and was wondering which platform you guys would recommend. Been leaning towards PS4 as it seems there are more players and fewer cheaters, from what I've read.

Edit: I also have a Switch but I'm guessing that wouldn't be ideal.

Which edition should I get? Standard is $27, Ronaldo is $40, ICON is $50. Ronaldo includes a FUT ICON 3-match Player Loan and 3k FIFA points. ICON includes a FUT ICON 3-match Player Loan and 8k FIFA points. Not sure exactly what FIFA points are used for and whether they're tradeable.

Get the icon one if it comes with 8k points. The points you can use to buy packs and start your team, packs range between 150-1000 fifa points depending how good the pack is.

Is there anything I can do with FIFA points that I wouldn't be able to do if I were to use my d2jsp FG to buy w/e it is? Completely new to the FIFA franchise so I'm not really sure how the economy works. And is there a rough estimate of FIFA points:FUT coins ratio in terms of value?

But yeah the value on the 8k with ICON seems crazy good compared to the price of FIFA points separately.

If anyone knows a very rough estimate (I know it depends on luck) between FIFA points and coins, I'd be extremely appreciative. Depending on the ratio I might just rather use FG for the coins and get the standard edition (unless there's anything else points can be used for other than FUT?). Some on Google have estimated 12k points results in ~100k-150k coins worth of stuff, which seems ludicrously bad compared to how much you can buy coins for with FG (buying points vs coins in that case would be about 10x more expensive per coin). Dunno if it's accurate though.

packs are gambles, you can open one pack and get 94 Icon Ronaldo who is 5MM fifa coins or open over 9000 packs and get a bunch of crap that maybe adds up to 500k

its more worth fg vs fifa coins cuz the ratio is better and you can do simple investments to make more coins (fifa forums have tons of guides and examples)
