what they really need is a player with the passing ability and the defensive workrate of someone like weigl or kramer imo...

They could probably get Javi Martinez from Bayern... he knows La Liga and was a key player in Bayern' treble-winning team as a defensive midfielder.
Bayern have Vidal to replace him and a great prospect in Kimmich anyway.

Out of those I'd only consider Kryzchowiak or Matic over Casemiro tbh. I'm not sure how Kryzchowiak would adapt to playing without a someone lime M'Bia/Carriço next to him though, and Matic has had an awful season which makes me have mixed feelings about him (although I think he's great overall, and last season I rated him as one of the best DMs around).

Porto or Benfica could probably help out with defensive midfielders on the same or a higher level than Casemiro, who are still young, considered very talented and have had more minutes on the pitch than him recently :D

Sorry to burst your bubble, but when being offered to play for Real, Barcelona, Bayern Munich or even Manchester City or PSG, most players would accept without even reading through a concurrent offer from Manchester United.

Over the past 10 years Chelsea have been much better than bayern, real, city and psg. Only team that is better is barca.
