I agree with you, Benema/Higuaín is arguably even more important than Ronaldo himself. Xabi Alonso is also exteremely important (more in Liga, were they rely more on breaking through defenses to win, than in CL were you have to keep your goal clean to progress through the knockout stages).
Barcelona will respond, the question is if it will be enough to run over this RM

OK this is how it was:
before the games: "We want to use the first match (league) to make sure we are capable of winning Barcelona, and then win the Copa"
after the league and Copa match: "omg, we are s going to thrash Barça and win Copa and CL"
after CL: "omfg, this is pure shit, we would have won both competitions if it wasn't for the ref, I'm sooo mad"
after calming down: "well it wasn't a bad season at all, we got what we were aiming for in the first place... sucks that the ref sent out Pepe though, we could have won Barça in CL too"
