I doubt that Zidane will be a good solution... too many examples of ex players who failed as a coach...

Especially the two from Ac Milan

what exactly do you consider "unprofessional" about it?

because its so sudden that they cant even get a room for the time they wanted
only small things, but this whole benitez farce has tons of it

good luck zidane :)

I feel sorry for Rafa, he has been succesful in other clubs, but he has failed in his dream job.

Zidane is a bit of a coin toss, since he has no real experience. His run with Castilla has been pretty mediocre, but it's also true that managing b-teams is a different story than managing the senior squad. He will probably have the players on his side though, and keeping them happy is more than half of the key to succes in this club. Let's hope it works out well.

Unfortunately, I won't be too optimistic about our future until we get rid of Florentino. There's literally a change.org petition to get him to step down.

If i see so many nice coachs failing at RMA, iam more and more happy that we will get Carlo Ancelotti next season.

Only Carlo didnt fail at Madrid, if we look at the last 15 years

Del Bosque and Capello did even better than Ancelotti. Del Boque won a major title in each of his 4 seasons at the club, and Capello managed to win 1 Liga in 1 season dispite coming in a difficult period after 3 seasons without any silverware.

Carlo shouldn't have been sacked. He's not the most amazing manager in the world and he made critical mistakes that made us lose titles last season, but he was well adapted to the team, and he brought the double to to the club for the first time in 25 years in the previous season. It was yet another stupid decision from our trigger happy president...

Because he's a dictator. He changed the rules to run for presidency to require the candidate to be both very rich and to have held a club membership card for over 20 years, which makes it almost impossible for someone besides him to run for the club. Elections are as democratic as in North Korea, with only one possible candidate.

Barça had just won the treble when he took over. The first thing he did was sign CR7, Kaká, Xabi Alonso and Benzema... huge signings like the ones the previous president had promised but never brought. Florentino told the masses "see? we can't let people that haven't been succesful in the business world run our club... we need to change the rules to protect it from guys like Calderón (the previous president)". And he got the assembly to accept the change in rules in that moment of depression and confusion. It's basicly the same tactics guys like Hitler used to absorb all the power.

@zarkadon

I was talking about la decima.

Many coaches failed on reaching it, except Carlo.

Winning the League or the cup cant be a goal for clubs like Real, Barca or Bayern.

Championsleague is the goal

1 league and 1 champions league as footballer in Real Madrid, in 5 years.

As coach, he relegated the second team to the third tier league in his unique year.

Now he is just a legend, soon he will be like Mijatovic, another normal player that gave a Champions League, like Belletti, David Villa or Anelka.

I love it. B)
