OHL playing at home vs Club Brugge on sunday.

Club is in a good run of form after winning 3 games in a row, and is proving to be a vital team in the challenge for the title, Odjidja and Lestienne are back in their best form.

Meanwhile OHL must get some points in their last 2 home games vs Club Brugge and Anderlecht, while away we play Lierse and Mons. Let's hope we can win an away game..

FT 2-5

Playing absolute relegation football right now.

Our keeper had another howler after an amazing last match, even our best players are performing bad, while last placed tead Mons won yesterday.

And now Waasland (our opponent) is winning vs Genk -_-

Mirandés 0 - 0 Mallorca

Yet antoher disapointing performance and result. I'm a bit late with this, but I didn't say anything yesterday because I was waiting for the following to be confirmed: Oltra is no longer our manager after being sacked today.

Like I said many times before, the club's situation is the board's fault, but Oltra hasn't been able to make any positive contributions to the team. Mallorca isn't playing well, the defense is a joke (by one goal we're not the team that has conceded the most in Segunda) and the team is 11th placed after 27 games (which is completely unacceptable).

They should have taken this step weeks before, but they didn't because their position in the club is more important to them than the club's position in the table, now we only have 15 games left... direct promotion is now 10 points away (we're actually closer to the relegation zone which is just 4 points below), so the only thing we can pretty much settle with at this point is getting into the playoff positions (which are luckily just 2 points away).

The new manager will be Lluís Carreras, whom I already said was one of the main candidates a few weeks ago. He played as a LB for us during the second half of the 90s. He was signed right before our last season in Segunda, so now he has to achieve as a manager the same thing he achieved as a player: a promotion to Primera with Mallorca!

His managerial carreer is brief (only 3 years), but pretty good. In those 3 years he promoted Sabadell to Segunda for the first time in 20 years and avoided relegation twice while playing nice football, dispite the club's limited budget.

Managing Mallorca is a definetely a step up from managing Sabadell, but I hope he's the right man for the job and can take us back to the division we belong.

Good luck to him!

Meanwhile Genk fired coach Mario Been, but they did it with respect, got an applaus from even the journalists for his good work with Genk (went 2 group stages in the EL unbeaten, still in the EL this season, won the Belgian cup and managed to be a top 3 team for 2,5 years)

I have all the respect to Mario Been, such a nice guy IRL, met him a few times and he is never to famous to have a normal chat, hope you can manage a great team soon Mario! :hail:

He was a massive jerk to me and my Anderlecht boys in my FM file, but I'm aware that's not irl, and has done a good job throughout most of his carreer :P

Interesting news today

OHL have announced a new coach, Ivan Leko. You make know Leko of his time at Malaga, Zark. He was still a player for lokeren this year (freekick specialist) but is now getting his chance to shine as a coach. Not sure what I think about a person who has never been a coach before is going to need to rescue OHL out of the relegation trouble. Apart from anything, Leko is a nice guy, very smart and is a well known professional.

Best of luck to you Ivan!

I remember hearing his name when he played for Málaga, but I can't say I remember him. Good luck to him and your boys!
