The thing that makes it weird for me is the fact the player himself didn't say anything (as far as I know he didn't). Surely he would know he's on a yellow card?

Yeah that always bffles me too. Yet the trainer should know. It's his job to know.

Well his card was part of a 3 yelows = bann cycle, and it was handed out on a game his team got ko'd. If he noticed he was carded (which I guess it isn't impossible that he didn't notice in the first place, as there have been cases of players getting sent off because they didn't notice they had been handed out a first yello card), then he probably thought "fuck it, we are out anyway" and probably forgot about it, or maybe he didn't even know that the bann was going to be carried out ot the following season or to a different club.

I disagree. The club pays people (Chendo to be more specific) to do that job. The manager has other things to worry about tbh.

Still, how can a manger not know. He must be involved with everything in and around a match imo. You cannot leave anything to coincidence, and with that comes who can and cannot play.

Furthermore, this happned once before with Rafael. You'd think that would a be a "never again" experiance.

Just came out:

"The competition judge acknowledges that Cheryshev was not personally notified about his ban

Real Madrid C.F. received the competition judge's decision at 6:17pm CET and after analysing it can verify the acknowledgement that the Spanish Football Federation did not personally notify Cheryshev about his ban, which is the only way the ban can take effect, as article 41 section two of the Disciplinary Code clearly states. We at Real Madrid C.F. stand by our argument and will take the appropriate action to ensure that the final outcome is favourable for the club."

Ronaldo complaining about a penalty he didn't get instead of celebrating Karim's goal is absolutely pathetic.
