Pretty sure I would get smashed even without auto defending

I can't really tell the difference besides the indicator and my strikers not being able to burst through defenses with pace.

well the indicator was there before the patch aswell - kinda
you saw who your opponent controlled in bottom left/right

and there is no patch notes about any defending changes

Nothing happened to defending afaik.
And yeah the indicator thing shouldn't be such a big deal.

My issue is people making the game lag. Game starts no lag whatsoever. I score 1-0. Lag begins. I'm now down 3-1. Lag magically stops again. 2nd game I played tonight had no lag, down 2-0 come back 3-2. Lag hits heavy again, somehow manage to score another goal and barely could even play the rest of the game whilst this guy controls the game and peppers my goal with shots. Thankfully AI De Gea is a beast. It's so dumb that I have to experience poor latency from either someone pushing the stabdby button on their modem, or bc EA is so fucking cheap and can't dedicate proper servers to FIFA.

This is the biggest problem imo too... when you play a game that's laggy it just totally ruins the fun and the game is shit
