We outplayed a strong City side, only to be left once again disappointed that we couldn't take the full points.
That's not to take anything away from the build up play we had. So many chances created, we just need to have that clinical edge.
Sturridge, what a game he had. Great goal, good determination. I am deeply disappointed with him trying to win a penalty from diving, and a yellow is easily justifiable. I personally do believe players that show simulation should get a suspension.
Henderson had a very tidy game, but I also feel sorry for him. It seems that the other players around him don't have that much trust in him and thus, probably quite demoralizing. There was a perfect opportunity for Downing to give Henderson a simple through ball which would have put Jordan through on goal. No one in his path but Hart. And instead, Downing ops to go with a pass out to Suarez. A good pass nontheless, but Suarez wasn't in that great of a position to finish.
Lots to build on, and still encouraging signs of Brendan's project playing out well.
