He has failed almost everytime we've tried that. Same with Portugal.

Yeah, I liked him better aswell, but Benzema's advantage over Higuaín is that he's really good at feeding Cristiano, and that's great since Cristiano is someone who can score 50+ goals per season.

Higuains last season he had just as many assists and goals? Or somehwat the same, which was more impressive since he wasnt a starter.

It was the previous season iirc. Higuaín's last season wasn't really that good, mainly due to injury problems :/

Not unexpected at all, sorry m8

Karim is probably the RM player that is least likely to leave, Florentino will never sell his boy.

So, contrary to what Benítez had been suggesting over the past weeks, Illarra has left.

Best of luck to him back at la Real. It's a shame his transfer didn't work out well; as I said when he was signed, he wasn't ready... it's a shame we didn't give him another year at la Real because I think it would have helped him a lot and allowed him to step up to the potential he seemed to have. I'm surprised la Real would spend over 15M€ for him though... I think it's a bit of a risky move considering that he has barely played over the last 2 seasons, they should have used that money to buy 2-3 players imo.

So, with Lucas Silva leaving aswell soon, Casemiro is our only truly defensive minded midfielder... I don't like that. I hope we sign someone or at least promote a youth player if there's a good DM in the b team.

Meanwhile, dispite having been linked to Llorente, him moving to Sevilla is pretty much a done deal now... he would have served as a perfect backup striker for us; he's the type of striker we need <_<

Slow as fuck, wins meaningless headers, can't really finish the way he used to and some might argue he's past it.
