The club might get someone on loan that they can let go if he become a threat for Karim, or just sign someone mediocre that has no real chance of competing with him... he does't want to risk someone benching his favourite player, whom he signed personally

I don't expect a great signing in that position tbh, but I think it's what we need the most; no matter how well Karim works with CR7, we need someone to compete with him and be able to replace him when needed

Medrán was the best striker from the b-team last season. He's 21 and somewhat promising; he could be good for us in the future, but not now. He has been loaned out to Getafe.

And then there's Odegaard... tbh I haven't seen much of him to judge, but he's definetely not ready to play with the big boys. The club is trying to loan him out to another team in Primera atm.
