imo they have to keep griezmann now, the damage from cashing in and having a shit season can be way worse than the other way around
But they don't really have a say. They were never going to negotiate for Griezmann anyway, it has always been just a matter of Man Utd paying the 100M€ release clause. Once they put the money on the table, it's up to the player and not the club.
Their only hope is that Griezmann admits it would be a dick move to leave Atlético under these circumstances and decides to stay to help the team that has supported him over the past 3 years.
