United are going to report a revenue from 2013-2014 financial year between £429-434m, they could spend double what they've done until now without it meaning brick shit.

The loss of income due to finishing outside top 4 will far surpass the spendings needed to get this team on the right track, should they fail to end there this season as well.

I had this chat with a mate after the Sunderland game, perhaps LvG has come to terms with the fact that his 5-3-2 might not be the best way to get success, which means that he's pushed for Di Maria to be able to change to the system he multiple times has said that he prefers.
Problem is that we'll need what made him change to this tactic during the WC: His ''Strootman'', which is why i think that United might go out and try to find someone a bit like Strootman (due to him not being attainable and an option due to his injury), hence why he name dropped Vidal perhaps.
