Well I fall back on saying that England MUST get their youth system up to par. They don't have players learning the clubs style at a very young age. Imo thats whats lacking. They have nothing to fall back on if the game doesn't go as planned. That's the big problem with buying a team. The players fall into a managers system and they have no real base for it.

Even a few years ago almost evry english team at least had a solid base in their defense. With defenders that were hard as nails and could build up. That's pretty much gone too.

england has huge problems in terms of tactics, youth players and more
arsenal is more advanced than the rest in that regard

imo its the transfer policy.....wenger just doesnt sign top notch players, but instead trusts decent players to overperform

There has to be a middle way imo. I really would have liked wenger to buy a striker, but I definitely wouldn't have liked him overpaying that much for unproven players like other clubs did. The market is just completely fucked up atm.

there is a middle ground, just look at bayern
we got great transfers for somewhat reasonable money

i dont like it, but we all have to deal with the fact that you need to spend 30mio€, if you want a guy that can make a 5 meter pass

if wenger can not do this he will buy no proven class player in the next 10 years......
