well, first of all i think that it wasnt a bad buy
cech is still amazing

but whats puzzling is the fact, that most people would first concentrate on obvious priorities like your defence (center back), another striker, maybe a cdm
you have the means and the prestige to get good players

instead wenger chose to sign a gk although you already had a decent one and did nothing for the rest
its ridiculous

i understand him getting cech, but that should have been more like a bonus.....

I think the Cech deal was something for him that he could not walk away from

You are still comparing this Arsenal to the invincibles, you need to take a look at how much we improved to the arsenal that we had a few years ago. It's a slow process that needs to be worked on.

I also wanted to see a striker, but no mather how you look at it, Giroud has been performing better and better every season. He might not be the striker we need but at the moment he has his place in the team and Wenger gives him his believe. That's something that I admire with out club, that we dont give up on players so easly.

I don't want to see situations like Park happening ever again at the club, I was devestated to see how we were pushing Ospina on the side just to "upgrade" our GK so we can compete more.

If its a slow process that needs to be worked on then shouldnt Arsenal of done something this summer to actually help that process?
Yes we have done a decent job improving the team a little at a time but this past summer we just ran on a treadmill while everyone else around us improved

I agree that the transfer window has been dissapointing, but people are throwing the towel in already while the season has just started.

I feel we need to see how this current group will do and in January we can decide wether this transfer window was a wrong choice made by AW or not.

Mill you are wrong. Every top team brings in a few players, even the ones that are more conservative with their funds like Bayern. Wenger had ample opportunity to bring in the right players over the course of the transfer window. He chose not to.

If Coquelin got injured you'd be playing Arteta at DM, who probably can't run the length of the pitch anymore. If Giroud gets injured or isn't scoring you've only got walcott and sanchez that can even be considered 'strikers' when their best positions are arguably on the wing.

It doesn't matter if you are the best manager on the planet, you need to address the weak spots in your team and fix them. Wenger's feet should be held to the fire by the fans, and the refusal to state facts as they are is why Arsenal are in such a perpetual cycle of achieving only marginal success.

because the precedence has been set, we've seen this before and we know how it turns out
