How are you rating his first season at Real so far?

He's doing really well. Even during his first weeks when he was criticised a bit for not providing goals or assists, he was still able to provide the team with some flashes of brilliance so you could see it was only a matter of time until he'd begin to do well on a consistent basis.

It really hurt us when he was injured this season... we went from winnin over 20 games stright to dropping tons of points. Obviously Modric's absence was a bigger reason than James', but still, James has become one of our key players in just a few months.

imo he's the best signing we've made this summer, and one of our best players this season. I'm really looking forward to seeing him progress over the years, if he goes on like this then he will become a very important player for us for a long time.

Without isco the whole midfield would simply collapse.
Even modric doesn't bring more than isco to rael overall.

Same goes for the front line with kareem. No kareem = 2 x 100 mios spectators.

Isco isn't in his best form atm but, yes, he's indeed a fantastic player and he's also very important for us. Isco, Modric and James are all really good and Madrid plays best when all 3 of them are fielded.

Saying he's more important than Modric though... no, just no. You can debate if Isco is more important than James or not, but Modric is irreplaceable and the team's engine.

No way, man.

I'm surprised, I didn't expect anything good of James and he has been the best player of Madrid this season imo. (maybe Modric too)
