true on the one hand, on the other hand you could limit those video challenges per game, say like each team has one per half or something...

some1 watched tennis :D

the problem is where to start, and where to finish. what you can review?

then we have a similar situation to american football. where each team has guys in the stands sitting in front of monitors, telling the coach when to throw a challenge flag ...

it would hurt the flow of the game, leave it as it is imo. on american football the whole system somehow makes sense, because there is no flow. tennis is point after point, doesn't hurt either. football tho, it hurts the nature of the game.

Same thing with fieldhockey. Any foul awarded by the ref that you feel is wrong?

the problem i see is: what if the video challenge says it wasn't offside? count it as goal? as free kick? the defense could always claim they stopped playing because the assistant raised the flag...
or change the rules that no offside is ever called and after the situation is over, the assistant says "i think it was offside" and then this can be challenged? nah...

for offsides it's not good imo. however, for foul calls, penalty situations, hand ball situations i'm in favour of (limited) video challenges...

agreed
when its about pelanties, red cards and other serious stuff i am in favor of using the videos
the game is interrupted then anyway and the fourth ref would have something useful to do

i would go even further and make it mandatory for these decisions
there is no harm in that and it also serves to protect the refs

offside puuuh, really a tough one
dont like it tbh

özil misses todays game due a minor knee injury, meanwhile Ox and Theo are starting. Gabriel stays in the team while Koscielny replaces Chambers!
