You may have an interesting starting line up, but if you want to fight for the cl, pl and cup you need a good bunch, your players wont play a match every 3 days without geting tired.
Oh and sneijder signed in Turkey, would have prefered him at Liverpool..

Oh I agree. I feel this Brendan Rodgers era is a couple years project. Bringing in players that are young, groom them together, and hopefully in a few years we'll be title/CL contenders.

Got a long way to go. Unfortunately, everyone is looking to short term success and for things to change just like that.

Proper fans understand what we're trying to do, it's working to be honest, our quality of play has improved greatly over the last 6 months and we seem to be improving month by month.

Its exciting to watch the team play again (except for not showing up first half against United)

They do have a lot of skill and are probably capable of beating any team on their day. Its just the inconsistency of their performances that are hurting us right now, but I think with the squad maturing together, this should be ironed out!

Most certainly, I think if we took Gerrard out nobody is really close to the age of 30 unless I'm mistaken (talking first team) Downing might be second oldest at 27/28? Good signs for the future.

Liverpool have agreed a fee with Inter Milan for Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho, Press Association Sport understands.

The Merseyside club are thought to be prepared to pay £8.5million for the 20-year-old, who was also reported to have attracted interest from Southampton. Manager Brendan Rodgers had said on Friday he was still looking to add to his squad with one or two new players before Thursday's transfer deadline.

Rodgers was unwilling to comment on speculation linking the club with Coutinho but it is now understand the club have succeeded with an approach after previous advances were rejected.

Good signing, young, talented, few more like him and we'll be sorted.
