what a shitty final. those clubs are so lucky that lewandowski was injured against paris, lol.

that said, glad that city lost. they should have been banned this season, it's a joke their FFP violations weren't punished.

Ole: i am going to totally screw up my lineup and subs for a european final
Pep: not so fast my friend

another completely bizarre move by Guardiola..wtf was he thinking? again? two of the best lone CDMs on the planet and he benched both of them?

so annoying this guy had a lineup no one could screw up at Barca when United faced them in the finals. if it were this era United very easily would have 5 CLs

59/60 of the last games either Rodri or Fernandinho started.

Not today.

Sterling can fuck right off, fucking idiot.

Jorginho is the biggest cunt in world football.

Kante is 7 players, truly unbelievable, impossible to hate, best player on the pitch tonight.

Circling back to Sterling, fuck you and fuck the fuck off, useless. James pocketed him in 8 seconds.

When De Bruyne went off, I imagined City fans felt like we felt like when Salah went off with the shoulder injury in 2018

I've always said Sterling was very limited and it wasn't just Liverpool bias

Your team is too good to not come back again. The first champions league is the hardest but IMO you'll get one in the next 3 seasons

shitty? how come? seems like you're saying that because of the history of the clubs rather than the actual quality on play. I thought some of the moves and passing was very good, at least compared to some other finals in recent years

the game itself was fine. of course citeh dodging the ucl ban is still a controversial point.

remember that all german club ucl final years back? nah no one does. the only memorable event was one club bought the other clubs star player 5 days prior and forced him to not play.

has literally nothing to do with the clubs involved, it simply was an average to boring game despite the occasion. if i was forced to find any positives i'd say it was "interesting" to see how tuchel's team would deal with guardiola's tactical move - for about 5 minutes. the most "exciting" thing on the pitch in terms of gameplay was probably the sterling / james matchup, which turned out to be pretty one-sided.

neither side created much in terms of scoring opportunities, to the credit of two mostly attentive and competent (the goal being the exception) defensive lines - and apart from two unfortunate injuries there wasn't much drama either. very forgettable final really with the right winner at least.

Did we watch the same game? I feel like it was one of the most open ended games we’ve had in a while. It was back and forth for 100 minutes

how many saves did mendy have to make, or ederson for that matter? "open ended" is the most generous possible description because neither team created much: a grand total of three (!) shots on target in the whole game, which is the fewest in decades, probably since CL creation.
