Every single pro-EU campaigner in the world.

again, mate - you are still IN the EU, article 50 hasn't even been triggered...

Great leaders? Big Boris and Fromage, the fuck you smoking

obviously "great leaders" and "glorious promises" was me being sarcastic and i'm pretty sure you know that so wtf are YOU smoking?

Plenty of reasons.

yes ofc, falling skies, lava rain and such, right? no wait, that's not happening, the people have spoken, so wtf are they waiting for? care to elaborate? i guess not...

Quote (WNxIrvine @ 1 Sep 2016 18:59)
Hell naw.

why not? you voted to leave so why are you content with the stalling? shouldn't you want to leave the terrible EU as soon as possible so your country can regain its former glory? makes no sense...
don't tell me you like having to abide by EU laws, paying huge amounts of money each week, not being "sovereign", and not being in charge of your immigration (which obviously was bs to begin with but considering the rise of hate crime after the referendum obviously a major point for the bigots in your country)...

What does that have to do with people saying we'd be skint as soon as we voted out?

You can never tell with Germans, you have about as fine a track record as the UK picking your leaders.

Are you daft? We've just had a PM turn tail and run, a new one elected and one that is, quite surprisingly, pushing to gather her small army of government donkies to get on the same brexit wavelength. Naturally, such things take time.

stop moving the goalposts, mate. you might want to take a look at the first post you made that i replied to. you were clearly talking about "brexit" not the referendum:

But Brexit was supposed to destroy the economy and leave us all skint.

also, i'm pretty sure ppl who ACTUALLY said that assumed that a vote out would mean that you triggered article 50 and not stall for months... makes no sense to expect the severe economic consequences (or gloat about the lack thereof) from leaving the EU without actually doing it.

oh sure, you couldn't tell... our previous conversations gave you the impression that i seriously considered farage / johnson "great leaders", huh? are you really so desperate that you have to insult your own intelligence like that? well anyway, now you know for sure.
i just find it amusing how negatively you are suddenly talking about the people who sold you and your fellow brexiteers the idea of leaving in the first place, just saying...

no, i'm not daft, and i prefer you keep this civil, there's no need for ad hominem. i'm merely pointing out the fact that it's curious how people who seemed so eager to leave the EU suddenly don't mind the delay. to me it looks like many ARE indeed concerned with the possible consequences after seeing what just the referendum caused and how those people in charge of the leave campaign had no clue how to proceed, just declared their mission accomplished and abandoned ship like rats...

i mean it's not like triggering article 50 means you're out immediately, there are two years for negotiations but at least it would signal everyone that your political leadership is being serious about it, respecting the people's vote and providing at least some kind of planning dependability to the rest of the EU...

You think it would just be referendum result in, trigger article 50 straight away without even having a stable cabinet?

Now who's insulting intelligence

Maybe we should just scrap this silly democracy crap and make May our Supreme Leader, that should shave a few weeks off!

It is, considering we were told just voting "wrong" would make the clouds rain lava. My favourite part was hearing the Germans going "ZOMG WE HAD TO CUT WORKING HOURS BCUZ DEM BRITISH R NOT BUYING R CARZ?!?!".

The positives will come, when article 50 is activated. Although personally, I have already received plenty of "positives" from my workplace and I've seen over a million people stay and holiday in the UK, instead of taking their money to Europe, which I consider to be a pretty big positive to local businesses.

Then we've had increased high-street sales, a fairly large boost in exports and we've gotten to hear some lovely speaches about how the Frenchies have changed their mind about moving Calais borders (whether this holds true or not remains to be seen, entertaining nonetheless) and we've heard how "Free movement of people will definitely be discussed", which is better than good old wet towel Cameron being told in private before discussions that it wouldn't even be DISCUSSED, then told to stay in the EU and help reform it, how you can reform something when you can't even discuss key points in beyond my comprehension but hey-ho.

Even though the government indeed didn't have a plan, since wet noodle decided he wasn't up for the fight, it's all going pretty much as most expected.

you will have a better time teaching a penguin how to fly than reforming the eu

dont let the hate get to you guys, the mills of god grind slowly (i looked that up rofl)

oh sure, because those are the only 2 options, right? a reasonable time frame or at the very least a clear statement declaring the intention to trigger it within that would not make sense, huh? just immediate or wasting months without acting...

They have said they will trigger it early next year.

What do you want, a date? Anything can happen between now and then.
