There really can't be different opinions on Real being the better team over the time of both legs. They created more and better chances, their gameplan and execution on the pitch seemed more mature and "better" and they had slightly to majorly better performances on most individual positions when compared.
Therefore, I think anyone saying they went through and eliminated Bayern completely undeserved is just not being honest / objective.

On the other hand, Bayern critics shouldn't deny the fact that being the better team alone doesn't win you games or trophies (several CL games come to mind). Bayern, despite being the worse team for 80-90% of the time, still had a decent chance to turn things around and after Ramos' OG I don't even think it was unlikely they would. 11 vs 11 could have been a totally different game in overtime.

Then again, Bayern also got the chance to decide the first leg when they were awarded a completely undeserved penalty. Vidal took it and unfortunately for Bayern, he simply cracked under the pressure, which (for example) Ronaldo didn't. While Vidal missed, Ronaldo scored a volley with his weak foot... as much as I don't really like him, situations like these show why he is basically his own brand making millions, while Vidal obviously isn't.

Other than that, I think especially the WBs made a huge difference: Not criticizing Lahm for his displays really, as he was often left alone by Robben and had decent games... then again, Marcelo didn't have any support by Ronaldo either, but still managed to properly defend and be a constant offensive threat, going as far as being the reason for Lahm defending 1vs2 most of the time.
Alaba was even worse and he's pretty much only a shadow of his former self... no threatening offensive presence whatsoever and he was getting schooled by any given opponent and especially by Carvajal time after time. Being made a CB after Martinez' red card in the first leg didn't help him either.

Unlike Real, Bayern basically had too many no-shows by players you'd expect to perform way better. Thiago (in general, but also compared to Kroos) was invisible in both legs, making wrong decisions all over the place and basically not doing anything meaningful except for 2 passes. Vidal (for the sake of it compare him to Modric) was basically done after missing the penalty and even though the second yellow card was undeserved when given, he shouldn't have been on the field at that time anyway. Xabi's performance was underwhelming, Kimmich basically ignored all his duties (and commons football sense) when he came on and Müller's displays were crap as well. Especially with Müller I don't understand the Bayern supporters who are constantly demanding him to be a starter. Even though Ancelotti's overall gameplan seemed flawed in the first leg (they basically played like Lewandowski was there, when in fact he wasn't...), there is still much more you could ask of Müller, even when being used out of position. All he showed was a complete lack of physicality & anticipation, paried even with some instances of looking like a 5th league amateur with regards to technique. With most of his usual confidence gone (which partially made him world classs while in form), what kind of positive influence on the game do people really expect from him being used? When he came on in the second leg, he basically wanted to point the way for his team towards a more aggressive, dedicated playstyle, but all he did was to attempt a dumb and useless tackle against Casemiro (who had played 80 minutes more than Müller) instead of going for a sprint duel or just a tactical foul. Half of Ronaldo's first goal is Müller's fault, but people ignore this.

The gif shows that the tackle wasn't 100% clean. I didnt noticed it yesterday, as i also thought it was a 100% clean tackle. But the gif shows it was not.

It shows Vidal's foot hitting Asensio's foot the moment Asensio is going to touch the ball with said foot. So this is not only not a 100% clean tackle, but a foul indeed. Then again, you'd have to say it's not automatically a yellow card, but given the fact that Vidal was pretty much on probation at that time, you can for sure award that second yellow card.

Both of Real's wing backs were. Considering both legs vs. Bayern, what they shoed was the best display of any pair of wing backs I can remember on this kind of level; at least for the last 6 or 7 years.

i agree with a lot of what you said, the full backs were the main difference in these games
carvajal and especially marcelo took a giant dump on our boys in all aspects

fully agreed on most players too, lahm, alaba, thiago, xabi
not on kimmich and müller though

i dont blame kimmich for anything, its tough to get into such a game when your coach almost ignored him after winter break for no reason, when he was among our best players

and my boy müller, i dont get why he gets so much shit
second leg showed how lewa was just as isolated as müller was and had zero impact with the wingers we have
obviously he is overplayed and has shown mediocre stuff, while still being a top assisting player btw ^^

you do forget how müller immediately created some presence that we didnt have which directly caused the own goal
and defending on the goal....didnt look good however witha decent midfield he would never have needed to go in there and of course its not easy to get to casemiro at that angle

even with several guys going missing we were always equal with 11 guys, madrid being better 80-90% of the time? not really imo ^^

Mate, if Bayern were behind 3 at half time it would not have been strange. They (E: Madrid) really let it be a game for far too long.

The only thing that was really not that good was Lahm at goal one. Letting Ronaldo wander in so much space. Boateng must have shit himself when he turned and saw who was behind him very much unmarked. I do not want to talk about the ref because that was so much shit it isn't even funny. It was like he was trying to be worse than that clown who did Barca - PSG, he almost succeded aswell.

Dude really, for my gusto, this game should have had 0 cards. Or 1 yellow for vidal and 1 for that actress casemiro bitch. I'm not a fan of cards. But yesterday, casemiro and vidal both begged for it. Either the ref should have sent off both or none of them.

I remember so many direct red cards in crucial games, when it maybe was a yellow max. I could make a list just from my head for at least 10 undeserved direct red cards. Cards are destroying the whole game imo... World Cup games etc... But my experience is, if you argue like i do, 1000 pussies come along with those arguments: "he touched him clearly" "protect the player" "you cant go in like this if you have already yellow".

when you say that many things are way too soft in football nowadays i fully agree

its the players fault mainly though, they make it so hard for refs with constant diving and whining

Never been more deserved. I'm sure he'll go home and cry into his briefcase of €€€€€.

I can understand you saying that as you were watching the Leicester game during the first 90 minutes, but tbf if the ref had sent of Vidal earlier, treated the soft penalties on Robben and Casemiro equally, and disallowed Bayern's offside goal, then there wouldn't have been any extra time, which is when Bayern was indeed robbed.

The ref was bad for both teams and complaints can go both ways. If the linesman hadn't fucked up in Cristiano's second goal and the result had stayed 1-2 and Madrid lost in penalties, people would be moaning about how Madrid got robbed with that offiside in the 1-2.

Yeah. It's amazing how he could still have that power after 2 hours of such demanding level of football in the 3-2 goal.

Can't agree with you here... the game was very balanced; top level show at its finest with two teams playing like mad men.
