They're not as bad as made out to be - Otamendi had a great season with City, Rojo is alright, so is Ansaldi.

In central midfield Biglia, Banego and Lo Celso aren't half bad either, I think they're just badly coached and everyone expects Messi to do all the attacking work.

They had 1 chance around 5-10 min, but didn't get past midfield again until 46th minute foul I believe

see that might be the problem: of the six players you mentioned, five were on the bench yesterday (alongside dybala and di maria), and otamendi frankly had a shocking game.

and while i agree that sampaoli is not exactly a great coach, we all know that messi has major influence on their line-up and team selection. now obviously that doesn't make him alone responsible for all of argentina's shortcomings, but i do think he has a major role to play when it comes to team structure and chemistry...

Neymar deserved a booking for that
