Redknapp was a gooner aswell... If he can do as well as him I'll be more than happy!

On a serious note I think he will do well for us. Knows everyone already and plays good attacking 4-4-2 football. Just what we need.

But do 4-4-2 really fit the players that spurs have at the moment? I like the fact they give an inside guy the job, just like Chelsea did with Di Matteo which proved to work great, despite the sacking.
I'm just worried about all the great midfielders you have that might not benefit from this system, especially the offensive ones that aren't that good or active defensively, such as Eriksen, Sigurdsson, Holtby, (Lamela and Dembele perhaps as well)

It fits the players, it doesn't matter if you have xx amount of midfielders, if you win games with only 4 on the pitch then you play with 4 on the pitch. Having them doesn't mean you need to fit them all in just because they are there, you play what works and 4-4-2 works.

It's not like Sherwood's only formation is 4-4-2, we were struggling to score goals and he set us up like this. He was using 4-3-3 in the u21's for most of the time.

No doubt, if you win there are no reason in changing the system, but given all the transfers you made this summer it would be an own goal to not take advantage of those players in my opinion.

I don't know Sherwood that good so I didn't know this, the parts of the match that I watched in your game against Southampton I saw Soldado going wide quite a lot so perhaps it was something looking a bit like a 4-3-3 as well. Idk but it is exciting to see whether he gets success and if he does, whether he will continue after summer or not given that there may be some exciting managers available after World Cup.

Since when has tottenham been in the race for the title, atleast 20+ years ago.

The only thing they can fight for is the sight of looking at top 5 if they're lucky.
