Yeah sucks for him.

Luckily he's more than welcome on the leicester bandwagon as long as he brings his missus.

Do members of the roayl family usually declare themselves fans of a team?

Here in Spain they avoid doing so. The exception would be our current king, who admitted he supported Atlético... but he was only a kid when he was asked about it by a journalist, so he let it slip.

Honestly have no idea if they all do. Future King Willy has declared his support for villa numerous times though.

No problem with it at all to me.

William does, he was at the FA cup final between Villa and Arsenal while supporting for Villa.
Think the Queen declared her interest in a club aswell

I don't care about it either, but they try to be politcally correct and act as if they support every team equally. They remain neutral on most issues, and since football can be such a delicate subject for many people, they try to act neutral about it too :D

Some people would try to fuel all kinds of conspiracy theories if they supported Madrid or Barça... happens every time we have a president that declares himself a supporter of either of them

in germany, the king has to choose one of the berlin clubs playing in the top three tiers of bundesliga (this season hertha in 1. bl and union in 2. bl).
our current king is officially "fan" of 1. fc union berlin although he was born in the very south west of germany (elzach, breisgau) and actually supports freiburg...

IDK if it is public knowledge what team our King supports. He must have a favorite team. He always is at every sport event where a national team plays. He has been seen partying with teams who won, few newspapers have deemed it unworthy for a man of his status, there was once a poll and 80% of the people loved him beeing so happy if one of our teams wins. Count me amongst them. I will research this a bit since I don't have anything better to do. I must be able to find his favorite team/player somewhere :P

Well, as expected he is an Ajax fan. Yet his wife, Queen Maxima is a fan of Feyenoord. Should be fun in Villa Eikenhorst during de klassieker.
