Manchester City vs. Juventus:

1-1
11' [0 - 1] V. Iaquinta
37' [1 - 1] A. Johnson

Not a bad result in Manchester, the defense only conceded once! Not bad it could of been worse.
Midfield played decently, especially Sissoko/Marchisio and the 15 or so minutes that Melo played.
Iaquinta had a fantastic goal and Del Piero hit the crossbar late in the game with a free kick.
Defense is extremely shaky, Chiellini and Bonucci played well, De Ceglie was destroyed by Adam Johnson, including losing him on his goal.
Manninger was in net, can't blame him on the goal and he made some okay saves tonight.
City played well today, I have major respect for them.

Next Match: Oct 3, 2010, Inter Milan vs Juventus

Derby d'Italia
Enough said.

Dzeko? Torres?

Quote
Juventus have signed Edin Dzeko from Wolfsburg and he will join the club in June when the power of €30million ignites the journey to Turin.

Il Corriere dello Sport claims Andrea Agnelli has already made his early transfer hit in what appears like an intriguing deal which stretches all the way back to Diego's move to Germany.

There are three strokes of the brush which paint the picture for Dzeko.

Wolfsburg have only paid Juventus €10 million for Diego of the agreed €20m fee. The Germans will then get Mohammed Sissoko as part of the deal. He is wanted by the German side and is valued at around €10m.

And the Italians will then give Wolfsburg a remaining €10m for Dzeko for an operation worth €30m to close the deal.

Reports also suggest the Bundesliga club have been scouting Catania striker Maxi Lopez - adding weight to the voices regarding a Dzeko deal. The Argentinian will be the preferred choice as Dzeko's replacement.

Juventus' search for a striker has widened to Merseyside with Liverpool hitman Fernando Torres firmly on the club's transfer agenda.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Torres is generating an increased interest from the Old Lady, who have also been linked with Wolfsburg forward Edin Dzeko and Real Madrid's Karim Benzema.

But Torres, 26, represents a decent target for Juventus, who have been encouraged to foster a January move given Liverpool's poor form in the Premier League.

The Reds are languishing in the relegation zone. Torres, like the rest of his team, has struggled for fitness and form. Fans have shown increased tension, and it could all boil over and lead to an exodus of players from the club.

The Spaniard fits the bill in Turin with Juventus eager to land an international striker with calibre and quality.
