Yes it does, to win the EPL, you're going to need to take the best of a bad game, which indeed is a sign of championship mentality.
There will be bad games, that's where teams need to make it count, that's where championships are won and lost. (that and of course the top 4 derbies)
Everyone is saying Chelsea's last CL was a fluke, well they worked their asses off and gave their maximum. Let's not forget, "luck" prefers the mentally strong and fighters.
Grind it out as they say, Inter did it in similar fashion a couple of years ago.
