and the only player so far performing for brazils national team

he just left bayern, because he was not a regular starter anymore when we signed javi martinez
and of course that would have ruled him out of the national team
van gaal knows him, so that works as well

Martinez is hardly a world beater and if you replace Gustavo with him, it just shows he's not good enough.
