I do have something against them... but aside from that there are several reasons to dislike them as a club, the most obvious one them having a garbage fanbase that almost entirely consists of plastic bandwagoners from neighbouring cities that didn't even know Villarreal had a football team 20 years ago.

They are kind of like La Liga's Hoffenheim. A regional tier club that was bought by a succesful businessman and got it all the way up to Primera (although it's not as bad as a case as Hoffenheim's).

I love them. They always played very good with a shitty team, but with a low budget (despite their owners are one of the most richest families in Spain) they reached good results.

My firsts memories of Villarreal is Sonny Anderson shooting like Suárez does.

Btw, my grandmother was born like 5 kms away from Villarreal.
