Mallorca 2 - 2 Córdoba

Yet another dissapointing result that stops us from entering the playoff spots. The manager's job is seriously on the line now, and it's no surprise since after exactly half of the season he hasn't really done anything to prove he deserves the job. The team plays well 2-3 games, then fucks up the next 2-3. After 21 games the strongest squad in Segunda is stil 7th and still lacks consistency in its play style. The best news so far is that the first placed is only 6 points away from us... it's hard to believe that the team leading the table is only averaging 1.7 points per game, in a 20 team league like Primera, EPL or Serie A that would mean that at such a rate the champion would finish with 65 points.

Sucks bro!

Was waiting for a post after mine as i missed my edit timer by a couple of mins!

Middlesbrough went on to win 2-0, Mustapha Carayol scoring twice :D

Real happy with that, 6 points off the play offs!

Lost 2-0 to Hull in the FA cup 3rd round. Means we can concentrate on the league, and at least we went out to premier league opposition!

Exactly the same as I was thinking :D

I'm a Leicester fan. After the heartbreak of last season it's nice to see us playing as a consistent team for a change :D

You guys are having an unreal season! We had a terrible start but Karanka seems to be doing good for us now! Literally stacking up the points over the christmas period! Would love to see both our teams in the top flight again, as I grew up in the 90's and remember them days ;)

Your not the only one that remembers them. It's just a shame my cousins support Boro so there is a family rivalry :D

Still would be nice to see moneybags QPR not be able to buy their way out of the shit lol.

So there is some intelligence somewhere in the family then :P

What part of England you live in? Gathering Leicestershire... As i am ofc about 3 miles outside of Middlesbrough... I pass by Leicester every couple of months visiting a friend in Northampton!

Seeing QPR flunk it for a second season and then getting smashed by financial fair play would make an excellent end to the season for me... They tried too hard, too quick, was only a few years ago they were rotting in the depths of the football league! Lets put them back there with revolting players, mass departures, and a nice big points penalty!

Ofc would also pave the way for Middlesbrough to take a possible play off/promotion spot as we are only 6 points behind the fold as it stands!

I actually live in Leicester :D Supported them my whole life and will do til I die :D

Could have been born in a lot worse places, football, rugby and basketball all pretty good teams in Leicester lol

Couldn't agree more. There is talk of QPR spending ridiculous amounts of money to build a new 40,000 capacity stadium as well. Boro in with a good chance to finish top 6 at least. QPR struggling right now and Burnley will drop if Vokes/Ings gets injured. Derby got shown up against Leicester last week so can't see their decent run continuing and really the rest are just too inconsistent. I really thought Watford/Bolton would be in the running for top, but they're both really struggling to find form.

Guy at work supports Leeds, so Leicester better smash them about 12-0 at the weekend. Bar that I'll always be a happy fan :D

2 reasons for you to smash Leeds... A) I am a Boro fan and absolutely hate leeds due to it! Major Rivalry between Boro, Leeds, Sunderland and Newcastle. B) They are 2 points above us and if we claim a win, it is another place!

We play you a week on Saturday, which will be interesting! Can get some banter going ofc :) We need the 3 points more than you guys :P And we did help you out a little with the win over Burnley the other week haha!

I was born in the area up here, but moved about all my life with an RAF family, but back in the area again now, and about 3 miles outside of boro now. I can't believe QPR can afford to spend that amount of money. They already are losing immense amounts and the only way they are going to be able to afford to do that is a mass offload of players in the next 2 transfer windows. It really is mad though how they should be tearing the championship a new one, but they just can't manage it!

One of the biggest hopes for me, other than challenging for a play off spot, is that Sunderland get relegated! I am an admin on a facebook north east footy banter page, so do all the score updates and get a little rivalry going amongst the fans on there :D Not bad with over 7k members on it!
