It was a better performance than the last ones, though Defoe should have scored at least once. As for now, Lennon has to start every game, he is creating chances and his understanding with Walker makes us play way better. Holtby had a good game, however sometimes I'd like him to play some risky passes - when he did today, Defoe had a clear cut chance. I'd like to see Lamela playing as 10 - as rotation though - Lennon is too valuable to be dropped right now and both him and Erik can't play on the left. Townsend once again did what he was expected to do - if he plays like this, he will be starting games week in, week out - he just needs to think more on the pitch instead of blasting it wide every time he comes from the right.
Most of our problems came from Rose's injury. He will give us width and way better bulid-up play.
