Overall a decent game, but boring to wathc at times.

England start defending/pressuring surprisingly far in Germany's half, which is a decent first step into modern football and clearly hindering German build-up.
Problems for England start as soon as their back 4 + GK are involved though and when they retract to defend more Chelsea-style...

Rüdiger + Can started as weak as I expected them and Hector also put Hummels in trouble at times. Özil, Reus and Müller all invisible with a few exceptions due to England doing well in midfield. Still enough to take the lead, even with Gomez' goal disallowed for no obvious reason.
The linesman on that side of the pitch doesn't seem to take his job too seriously anyway^^
