yep.. which is odd because mls has a salary cap and can only field 3 foreign players.. so what is city's money going to accomplish in the mls? not much imo

Manchester City have agreed a fee with Sevilla for their Spain international winger Jesus Navas.
The 27-year-old, who has been with the Primera Liga club for his whole career, could cost around £17m plus add-ons.
Navas was a member of Spain's successful 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012 squads and is in the 23-man party picked for the Confederations Cup.
City are yet to appoint a successor to Roberto Mancini as manager, with Manuel Pellegrini favourite for the post.
Navas, who has more than 20 caps for Spain, would be City's first major signing of the summer following their unsuccessful Premier League title defence, when they finished 11 points behind champions Manchester United.
Navas was a key part of the Sevilla team that won the Uefa Cup in 2006 and 2007 but he was unable to take up a place in the Spain squad for many years due to fears about travelling away from his Andalusian home that he has now overcome.
A quick right winger who is regarded as a tough tackler despite his slight frame, he has been criticised for his lack of goals and failed to find the net in 37 league appearance last term.
A statement on the Sevilla website confirmed: "Jesus Navas leaves Seville for Manchester City.
"Sevilla accepted an offer from the English club on Monday, taking into account the desire of the player, who will now have to pass a medical.
"Navas wants to continue his successful sporting career in English football, more precisely at a club at which he can continue to develop as a footballer, as he has publicly stated on various occasions in recent months."

£17million plus add-ons seems abit steep for Navas

Great move for city imo. The potential Navas has is extraordinary amazing speed/crosses knows when to cut in. has been one of my favorite players for a long time and I can't wait to see him out of sevilla.
and its only 17mil for city.

The initials are FCNY btw.
A spokesman for FCNY said it will be a great way to transition players from the MLS side into the MCFC sides. The FCNY club also has the NY Yankees as a marquee cosigner for the club; the amount of prospects the Yankees have is incredible. Maybe MCFC is just trying to create $ but I wouldn't be surprised if they are trying to pickpocket MLS allstars into their squad.

*I wish it was Cosmos.
